Corien’s dinnerware line is made of casted earthenware or porcelain and decorated pre-firing with engobe (colored liquid clay, called “slip”). The work is then biscuit-fired, glazed and fired again. Dots are painted on with gold glaze, after which the work is fired a third time at low temperature.
